Orange-Peel-Candle

Having a beautifully decorated room is only a first step towards a relaxing time at home. In order to complete the process, you’ll need some scented candles that will create a great atmosphere. But good quality scented candles can be a bit expensive and at many times they contain a lot of harmful chemicals. So how about trying to make your own candles by using something that you already have at home and has a natural scent too? Oranges are the perfect fruits for this project and by peeling them your will get the most perfect scented candle ever. Besides oranges you will also need:
• some olive oil;
• matches;
• a knife;
Start by cutting the orange in half and take out the fruit. You should eat the fruit as it is very healthy and then proceed to make the candle out of the peel. Trim the wick and pour olive oil on its bottom. Place the half orange on a plate and leave it there until the oil soaks into the peel. This will take 2-3 hours to complete. After that you can light your candle. Don’t worry if it doesn’t work at a first try, you will need a bit of patience, but after 7-8 matches you should be able to light your new candle and enjoy the relaxing scent it will release into your home. This is a great way to freshen your room every time you have guests coming over or for a nice and cozy spa day at home.
